Unlike the commercial certificate, this product is specifically designed for groups and entities Without their own Legal Personality but that have a valid VAT ID.
Classic examples are:
- Communities of Owners / Residents.
- Cultural or sports associations.
- Temporary Joint Ventures (UTE).
- Communities of Property (CB).
Since these types of entities rarely register their positions in the Mercantile Registry, proof of powers is done through private or official documentation of the entity itself.
Normally we will require:
- The original appointment minutes (e.g., the minutes of the Residents' Meeting where the President is appointed).
- Certificate from the Registry of Associations (if applicable).
- Final VAT ID document issued by the Treasury.
- Valid ID card of the representative.
Of course! That is precisely its main use. The Public Administration requires this exact certificate so that the president or representative of the entity without legal personality can interact with them electronically.
You will be able to file tax reports with the Treasury, apply for grants for your association, or receive notifications from Social Security.
It is a fairly common mistake. However, by cryptographic law and European directives (eIDAS), the internal properties (OIDs) of the certificate change completely depending on whether the entity has legal personality (like an LLC or Corp) or does not (like a Community of Owners).
